CONTENT WARNING: This comic entry depicts literal Gender Reassignment Surgery being performed. If you don’t want to see it, that’s fine. If you DO want to see it, click my Usagi fan-art from 2019 and my vagina will appear:
Click Usagi if you dare! - WARNING: drawings of my gender reassignment surgery in 2018
Yes, this is being published on July 18th, not July 19th, but I already have an entry for the 18th, so I used my time machine to publish this in the future. I use my own special proprietary fork of Nginx that lets me serve web pages from the future. I call it the Wayforward Machine.
I got really bored so I decided to draw this. I originally posted the actual photos of my surgery, back in August 2018, but I later (around 2021) removed them. Perhaps I could re-upload them at some point, but they are on the Internet Archive:

That archive link is the original post, similar to this one, but that one was written in the present tense since I wrote it during August 2018. Today on this 19 July 2025, I’m 7 years post-op, and I’ve recently been reminiscing about key events in my past.
I remember Dr. Suporn enthusiastically showing me these, while I was there, explaining to me all the various stages of it. It’s part of the experience. We were given the choice of whether we wanted to see our surgery pics, and/or be given them on a USB stick to take home with us.
I got mine done by Dr. Suporn in Chorburi, Thailand, during August 2018. I remember fondly, my experience afterward; this includes the pain I went through, which I did not regret and still don’t. I met a lot of really nice people (other patients) while I was there too. We had our own entire floor of a nearby hotel, near the hospital and clinic, and nurses would check up on us daily; every other day we’d also go to the clinic for a post-op checkup.
When we weren’t dilating, or being seen by nurses/clinicians, we pretty much all had the days to ourselves, and it was basically like being on holiday. I enjoyed the food - we (as a group of patients) also went to restaurants and shops once or twice, when we were reasonably able to walk.
The people, the food (especially the food), the general atmosphere, it was nice. Thailand is a beautiful country.
The hardest part of the whole experience was coming home, back to the UK, because I still was undergoing recovery but at that point without all the friends I’d met. Staying indoors all day with nothing to do got really boring and lonely, so I often satisfied myself by drawing, since I was too mentally exhausted to focus on programming at that time.
Here is a sample of some of the drawings I did at that time, mostly fan art of various animes:

https://web.archive.org/web/20210327142304im_/https://av.vimuser.org/stallmon.jpg - I later ripped up the original paper it was drawn on, after I concluded what a jerk stallman is. Perhaps I’ll make a comic strip about him one day?

(as you can see, these drawings are much higher effort than the libreboob comics; I’m actually quite capable of drawing and painting and I can make it look real, like a photo)
